European data seems to confirm. 16% LGBT, 5% bisexual without preference.

Wait, who says it has to be without preference? I'm omnivorous, it doesn't mean I'm indifferent between meat and plants.
-
Exactly. Almost all the 16% were bisexual to some degree.
-
And weighted heavily to millenials, suggesting a pretty high "closet factor" in older generations.

Being contrarian selects hard on bisexuality, doesn't it?
-
It's obvious how it would cause the actualization of potential bisexuality. How it would select on the potential is not at all obvious to me, unless everything neurodivergent is just THAT correlated.
-
There's a lot of correlation between neurodivergences, yes, but also it's a lot harder to believe societal defaults are pretty much perfect if those defaults declare your love life a perverted abomination.

I remember a quote from a college counselor. If a girl says she had sex w/ a girl and is confused, tell her it's no big deal. If a guy is confused because he had sex w/ a guy, tell him he's gay. Male and female bisexuality is different.

Ultimately irrelevant point here, but they did say 1.6% of the US population rather than of the planet.

Nah, it just selects really, really hard on unblinkered (self-)observation.

Or your friends like to take MDMA and that causes bisexuality.
