What sciences do you know that, to you, can't explain everything? What does optics prohibit, or the germ theory of contagious disease?

Germ theory prohibits getting flu from licking piece of ice, optics prohibits sharp images from pinhole
-
Ok! EP says it'd be surprising if on avg in hunter-gatherer tribes, women loved all children as much as the children they'd birthed.
-
What I would hope for is some predictions about avg behavior in new situations, like a spaceship travel to Mars or social network dynamics
-
But we didn't evolve on Mars! Definite predictions of EP get confirmed by new observations of people in evolutionarily realistic environs.
-
But if we know how we evolved on Earth and know about Mars, and have a good model, then we could get an Idea how it might behave
-
Big ifs but some aspects could be predictable
-
Like... average moms on Mars will love their children more than other moms' children?
-
That *is* an EP prediction! It doesn't apply to big generic neural nets, clay sculpted in God's image, an AGI that I design, etcetera.

what's an example of an EP hypothesis that’s not ad-hoc, unfalsifiable, or falsified?
-
i'd like to know too
