The main component I noticed missing is the lack of explicit reward for outrage. Without such reward, there's no escalation.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist anywhere, but it doesn't exist everywhere either, and it seems to be the cornerstone of the whole thread.

That's a gd pt. It's social theory so I'd guess it's social support? Things like oh you're so brave, you're so ethical. Seems rewarding.

It is when it happens but it's not universal in all social justice groups.
