Ours is the era of inadequate AI alignment theory. Any other facts about this era are relatively unimportant, but sometimes I tweet about them anyway.

Apples and potatoes are basically the same plant, we've just bred apples to be sweeter. So why is one a fruit and the other a vegetable?

Humans and potatoes are basically the same, precursor gods just bred humans to be cuter. Why is one animal and the other plant?

Consider the cows bred to give chocolate milk. We consider *them* fruits just because the milk is sweeter.

... and *that* is why GMO has to be banned, and all the knowledge about it must be purged from all the books and archives!

Concern about GMOs seems really overblown, humanity has been using CRISPR/Cas-9 since dawn of agriculture.

dawn of agriculture is a hoax, why would anyone ever believe that? Scientists found proof in the africanian permaforest!

Huh? Botanically, and in culinary use, they are obviously very distinct. Even nutritionally, it's starch vs. sugars.

Botanically, an apple is a potato with more sugar and a shinier peel. They grow on similar vines and are often interbred.

Same order in different families; they seem about as related as lemurs and chimpanzees... (And culinary & nutrition is diff.)

Wait, no. They are very diff botanically as well. They are different orders - but they are both Eudicots.

Bullshit. An apple doesn't come close to clearing the neighborhood around its orbit, which makes it by definition not a fruit.

if they just totally made up whatever shit they felt like, it would make no practical difference, yet they mostly just mislead.
