All right, you know what, I have a long weekend so we're doing this. We will spend the next three days ranking billionaires by coolness (defined as how much good their giving is doing).

I should have a live ranking of billionaires by how cool they are, based on how much good I think their giving is doing. Then the billionaires will all be pressured to give more impactfully by their desire to be at the top of my list of who is the coolest.

some of their companies are also importantly good but that's harder for us to incentivize with coolness ranking, because they're much more constrained on how they run companies than how they donate. they can easily shape up their philanthropy to move up the coolness ranks.

you can help with this project by referring to it as 'the definitive billionaire coolness ranking' and referring to the winner as the 'definitive coolest billionaire' and by talking about how much you pity the least cool billionaire, who has hardly done any good at all.

you can nominate additional billionaires by linking what you think is their plausibly most impactful action and anywhere where they talk about their goals with philanthropy

you can contribute harmful things you think these billionaires have done or things you think are overrated and should not be counted much towards their coolness score

...banana, and by spreading and advocating the frame that everybody needed their own "demon" (Musk's old term) in their house, and anybody who talked about reducing proliferation of demons must be a bad anti-openness person who wanted to keep all the demons for themselves.

Nobody involved with OpenAI's launch can reasonably have been said to have done anything else of relative importance in their lives. The net impact of their lives is their contribution to the huge negative impact of OpenAI's launch, plus a rounding error.

Elon advocated for regulation in AI. OpenAI also pays attention to mitigating ai risks. It's not that reasonable to blame one single dude for risks as high as agi-related.
