Alright. I've been getting a bunch of questions about the scope, schedule, etc., of my 2020 preview series. Think I have a good enough grasp on everything to actually answer those questions now.

OH GOD, I just realized that if I go in random order, my mentions are going to be 99% "Hey, have you done [My Team] yet?" for the next 22 straight weeks, and I blacked out. SOME VARIATION OF WORST TO FIRST IT IS.

I loved this until I realized it meant I had to start with Rutgers.

I could go from worst to first (per 2019 ranks) as always, but since they're not tied to specific daily previews, I can technically go in whatever order I want. Worst to first? Worst to first within each conference? Alphabetical? Completely and totally random?

So here's a completely unimportant question that I've been thinking way too much about: As mentioned, I plan on tweeting out team charts and whatnot, one team per day (preview-style), starting next week. What the hell order should I go in?

They factor into the returning production figures (still coming Friday, I think), but they don't factor into recruiting.

With 's 2020 preview series coming up soon, I wanted to take one last look at the 2019 year in SP+. Starting with the SEC, here's a recap of each team's SP+ ranking on a weekly basis. (no green bars in week 1 since those are the preseason overall rankings)

60 years ago, Elinor Penna wanted to write about the NFL — so she started a newsletter. By 1970, she was syndicated in 40 papers and staffing CBS's pregame show. She talked to me about what it was like, and how being a "trailblazer" is bullshit:

Super active, very effective. Plays kind of angry, which is fun. As good as or better than Lewandowski over the first half of the season and definitely not the reason they've hit a mini-funk now.

NEW SOCCER POST: Oh hey Bayern looks great again who could have possibly seen that coming what an unexpected twist... * How Bayern turned things around (beyond "having lots of money and talent," which helps) * Why David Alaba might be the team's MVP

Didn't make story, but: "Nebraska, I got even with them. They clobbered us in ‘95. Their fans were saying, ‘Hey Spurrier, 62-24.’ So I was looking for them to say, ‘Hey, 30-13, we’re even OK.’" Gamecocks beat Huskers 30-13 in 2012 Cap One Bowl.

Really enjoyed this. Didn't really have a problem with him resigning in the middle of the '15 season and definitely don't after reading this.
