My latest column: Like it or not, ESPN is not sticking to sports:http://es.pn/2obZ9fU

No, it's not. Neither your mobile apps nor your streaming content are all that great. People lost patience with your talking heads.
-
It's this simple: ESPN fired most of its credible sports journalists and kept its talking heads and, inexplicably,
#thesix cast and crew. -
Don't know why everyone sees it but ESPN. I guess they will when Disney spins them back off and they lose the huge trust fund.
-
I'm not kidding: I could fix ESPN in 6 months. Nothing can be done about cord cutting but the drivel being produced needs to be shit-canned.
-
Of course there is...you can offer your content standalone, just like HBO did. They can still put commercials in streaming content.

ESPN has done NOTHING to make their content better and is losing viewers who AREN'T unbundling, like me. It's an echo chamber there.

I actually don't disagree. But problem for ESPN is that very same people who've taken the network here are the ones making today's firings.

Again, I am a huge sports fan (6+ sports) and I still have cable (DTV, actually) and have all ESPN channels. I rarely watch any of them.

It's a broader full entertainment issue where 1/2 of America is sick of being insulted. Y wld people unbundle if the content was so great?
