Isn’t that the problem? The other crowd, from alt-right racists to Left-wing identity politics, don’t believe we have a common humanity, or if they do it’s the least important thing about us.

When approached with humility & best intentions, I honestly believe most people can be reasoned with (when not in a mob). Not everyone, but most.

Misanthropy is fashionable, but such a self-defeating venture. If you believe humanity isn't worth saving, what incentive could you possibly have to try? Do we want to be stuck on a sinking boat with someone who thinks it's futile, or the person frantically shovelling water out?
