1/ That's a lie. @EPAScottPruitt exempted grant recipients from states. https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2017-10/documents/final_draft_fac_directive-10.31.2017.pdf … … He's purging expert, academic scientists.
-
2/ @EPAScottPruitt presented NO evidence that science advisors w/ EPA funding provide advice that is partial. Just fact-free ad hominem.
-
3/ @EPAScottPruitt purged independent scientists based on appearance of a conflict of interest. Not reps from industry or states suing EPA.

This is ridiculous. Awarding grants to the most qualified scientists shouldn't disqualify their opinions. It should elevate them. What is needed is to keep lobbyists and their hired scientists off the advisory board. The Swamp is alive and well in D.C.

So no one with a business interest that may lose money from EPA regs will have any advisory role from now on?

Don't you dare try to make this look anything like protecting the agency. You are throwing us to the mercy of industry scientists.

Wouldn't it be better to ensure financial independence from polluting companies? Paul Gilman is an executive at a trash burning company.
