What version of the Bible is this?
-
-
-
It seems to sounds like english standard version
-
That or Douhay-Rheims
-
It's not Douhay-Rheims. I think it's an English translation of the Aramaic bible.
-
It's the Jerusalem Bible.
-
Okay, thanks. What Bible do Catholics use? There's so many different translations but the message here is mostly consistent.

Matthew 27: 24And Pilate seeing that he prevailed nothing,..., taking water washed his hands before the people, saying: I am innocent of the blood of this just man. Look you to it. 25And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and upon our children.pic.twitter.com/4AFvH3gvKY

I have watched the video and the hatred in Sarah Silverman’s eyes when she utters these blasphemous words is palpable. She looks like some kind of venomous snake spitting out her poison and what’s worse, her audience laughs! I am regularly praying the Sorrowful Mysteries now.

But...but....Judeans....right?
-
That's my favorite meme from Dr. Michael *Clown* (Brown). Even if they're "Judeans" it makes literally zero difference. It still means the Judean (Jewish) faction killed Christ and are our enemies. I don't get this mordern over-Judeaizing Christianity, where "we" praise antiLogos
-
Dr. Brown needs to learn about Christianity from Dr. Jones.
-
My saddest thing is that a Jewish man is telling a Catholic scholar/theologian how to interpret the New Testament. Dr. Jones translated the literal Greek, and nowhere in the Church Fathers/Ecumenical councils is the Judaizer position accepted. Jesus was greater than Moses.

Local man actually reads bible! Secular world shocked, calls it radical fundamentalism, starts hashtag, seeks laws protecting against this particular expression of religion.

Not exactly. They are enemies (as is anyone) who hinders the preaching of the gospel. But to those, the next verse says: autem ira Dei super illos usque in finem. We can chill. God has it in hand.

It’s good to speak the truth so that people can make informed decisions about who they trust and who they ally with.

Has Rome dogmatically interpreted that verse for you?
-
Rome doesn’t even allow these excerpts to be read in the Liturgy anymore, nor the Gospel of John except for a few choice excerpts throughout the three year lectionary. We also no longer pray for the conversion of the Jews. Bad optics and such.
