I can sum up sola scripture in 1 word... crap... I mean it is almost laughable to claim all you need is scripture AFTER you pick and chose what scripture you want to keep and what scriptures you want to throw out.. and start inserting words where they didn't exist before

I love Dr. Jones but to blame #SolaScriptura for all the Protestant error isn’t fair. And there is lots of unScriptural error in the Roman Catholic Church too. Scripture is of no private interpretation and must be diligently studied in textual, historical, & cultural context.

So ancient error is better than modern error? Blaming all of Christendom's problems on Protestantism is convenient but not intellectually honest. Could you tell me where I can buy an indulgence? How can I substitute ritual & form for the reality of a right relationship w/Christ?

It's not that it's ancient, it's that it's inherited from Christ's promise to Peter to protect the Church from error. Peter himself warns against ppl making their own interpretations of scripture. Not all of the problems r w/ Prots, but all the problems r essentially non-Catholic
