The problem is that these companies are publicly traded. They are not judged by profits, but rather how much profits increased THAT QUARTER As a result these guys are always looking to trim fat, even when they are incredibly profitable already. If they don’t, they get fired.

The queue of newly business school graduated managers who think outsourcing is a new edgy way of doing things is endless.

Outsourcing for cheap labor PLUS overreliance on technology is a double whammy. It's the blind leading the blind. Easy to see how the insatiable appetite of the empire builders makes them blind and dumb.
