The question is what to do with humans displaced from low skilled labor who can’t be retrained to compete for higher skilled work. Historically they just go off to a frontier to settle, but we’ve run out frontiers for the most part.

kinda, but where one man could do x amount of labor, now he can do 10x with screwdriver, 100x with drill, 1000x with robot, etc so in some way a type of labor winds up displaced
