It’s not designed for human hunting. No. It’s no ones call what anyone decides to use to defend themselves and their loved ones. The only people that have to worry about what a law abiding gun owner has, is those that mean to cause harm, either to them or those they protect

I think this debate has been had over and over and over again and the outcome has always the same. It is not my battle, I don't live in the US. But I find the resistance of large number of Americans to what is only normal in most other countries, very odd.

So, no, I won't debate you but I'm interested to hear your explanation if you're willing to provide one.

Yup. Look at the UK where it's so much harder to get guns. They still have crime, and knife-attacks are far more common than in the US. But compare the number of victims with knives and the amount of time it takes with shootings...they're not even on the same playing-field

If you throw enough numbers at me, maybe you can convince me to give up my rights.

Just take your “rights” to some isolated island where nobody has to be worried about you and we’ll all be happy. (Fyi you’re not batman, there is a 0% chance you owning an assault rifle will prevent gun murders)

How about you take yourself to an isolated island if you want to feel safe from "bad guys" instead of insisting your perceived safety trumps other people's rights.

I have been paid to use weapon systems from M16 to M240B. The AR platform is garbage. It was designed to kill humans on the large scale of theater operations in the most economic way possible. Not game animals and surely not for home defense in the suburbs.

2/2 my opinion is for its proponents there are limited self defense uses due to over penetration. Better ways to defend self. For me the real issue is loss of empathy and apathy towards all others in this country. To many entrenched opinions

More shootings occur with handguns. AR-15 isn’t even that powerful of a rifle, there are so many worse ones that have a higher rate of fire, shoot larger caliber, and quicker. But we have to start banning guns somewhere, so let’s demonize one and then slide down the slope.
