A tragicomic threesome is the answer. But then isn't it always?
now we just need an art history version of the OC Choppers meme
An 18th century equivalent is everything I ever want out of a meme.
But comedy is harder than serious drama.
Oh, no shit; getting consistent laffs is almost a kind of black art… and I say this as a cartoonist who knows a couple of stand-up comics. It's like you have to read the audience's minds and tap into that weird secret spot everybody has that tells them what's funny.
It is easy to be quirky & do something that some one can look at & say "that is funny". It's a completely different thing to be able to tap into a person's psyche & elicit the physical reaction of laughter. Bad comedy & drama are easy, but good comedy is harder than good drama.
Well, Tragedy’s got a knife, so this may not end well.
As an 18th century nerd: thank you!
This now *needs* to be the meme
Brilliant. You just made sure everyone learned something. #learnabdlaugh
Hey, Tragedy's hot!
I can understand his dilemma. Tragedy's a really sweet, classy chick n'all, but Comedy's way hotter, and a real party girl.
