  12. 9/9 This proposed a framework to reveal data publishing through iterative and differential processes. Data is collected from project to identify and gather information of data portals, thus formalizing a model to support benchmarking exercises.

  13. 8/9 Framework encompasses automation in a way manual intervention to reveal data publishing is drastically reduced. Identified data portals are subject to automatic checking through available API, but there is no way to guarantee they publish

  14. 7/9 Once the historical data repository is consolidated, it provides a way to generate many layers of data visualization, based on the changes and comparison made on the data. The figure illustrates these data visualization layers

Image shows a mind map illustration with Historical data repository as the root node. There are four child nodes as follow: 1-Geographic location with 1.1-Wordwide data adoption; 2-Software platform with 2.1-Most used software platforms and 2.2-Trend in platform implementation; 3-Datasets with 3.1-Largest data portals and 3.2-Distribuition based on number of data portals; 4-Installations with 4.1-Added/Removed data p

  15. 6/9 Differential process considers differences among data collection events. The idea is to allow comparisons between events through a defined data model by providing a structure optimized to read, summarize&analyze numeric values obtained from data portals

  16. 5/9 Iterative process estimates data collection events in a monthly basis, which is the frequency defined by the deliveries. Once an iteration is done, a list of identified data portals is ready to be stored in the historical data repository

  17. 4/9 Framework is built on the top of both iterative and differential processes. They result in a historical data repository. A high-level representation of the framework is shown in the figure.

Image shows a set of four steps run in a monthly basis. There are two months, identified as Month N and Month N+1. Each month has the same set of steps as follow: 1-Keyword search, 2-URL preprocessing, 3-Software platform identification, and 4-Geographic and dataset estimation. The image also shows a database with identified data portals, which is the result of running all these four steps. Lastly, images show a hist
