Thanks to my friends on Twitter for your forbearance & help as I try to call attention to my new book. It’s always challenging to make sure people even know you have a book out, especially now. I so appreciate your generosity with retweets & kind comments.

Very smart take from ⁦⁩ on how ⁦⁩ has an opportunity in fighting the pandemic “to rehabilitate the Democratic Party’s commitment to the common good.” He can highlight a necessary communitarian correction to liberalism.

Love that of went back to her Albany, N.Y. roots just now to underscore the severe problems that face hungry people as well as small business owners. Excellent way to underscore the need for action on behalf of both groups of our fellow Americans.

It was right and necessary for to take on the outrageous, anti-democratic lawsuit filed by Texas and to push back against ’s lies about the election. A good sign that Biden will fight back when necessary. But sad for our country that Trump made it necessary.

O Divine Master, grant that I may Not so much seek to be consoled as to console To be understood, as to understand To be loved, as to love For it is in giving that we receive And it's in pardoning that we are pardoned And it's in dying that we are born to Eternal Life Amen

God bless Mark Shields. A warm & generous soul who never forgot, after all his years in DC, to look at politics from the precinct up rather than from the top down. He said there were 2 kinds of people in politics, heretic hunters & convert seekers. He was always in the 2d camp!

The idea the election was stolen from Trump “will be maintained as a..foundation myth of the post-Trump era.” But can “Republicans keep alive the flame of Trumpism” in a semi-respectable form without embracing this mythology? ⁦

Stark and irrefutable conclusion from "We should continue to take it very seriously as a sign that not only President Trump but also a majority of his party would rather tear our republic apart than accept electoral defeat."
