We have advised the UK Government that a change to the Equality Act 2010 - so that ‘sex’ means biological sex - could bring clarity in a number of areas, but potential ambiguity in others.
We have suggested that they carefully identify and consider the potential implications.
Pleased to see the recognise the importance of respecting diverse views, tolerance and debate on controversial issues, and its commitment to protecting free speech as one of its core values.

Great to see this report support and explain the importance of flexible working for disabled people.
If flexible working for those with disabilities becomes the norm, we can hope to see a reduction in high disability pay gaps and inequality faced by disabled workers.
