It's concerning how quickly we're becoming desensitized to it. It's a self-feeding process; we assume our privacy is doomed anyways, so we put up with more violations and dig ourselves deeper. It's a matter of principle, and it's a matter we have to start taking seriously.

RTB is not inherently privacy invasive - we can fix it and some of us are working on that. The value of automated buying and reporting of ads doesn't have to bring wide privacy abuse with it.

turn off location and deny apps permissions to 'body sensors' for gawds sake they will tell you apps won't work without but my friend limits her app permissions without any loss of use
