Abelardo (Mexican version) was originally a Dragon named Montoya when Plaza Sesamo started airing in the early 70's, they replaced him in the late 80's/early 90's for the current Abelardo, his full name is Abelardo Montoya (they kept the dragon's name as the parrot's last name)pic.twitter.com/Ced7DzxFrD
