  13. Correction on our last tweet - the gharial has not been seen breeding in Bardia National Park in 30 years, though the species has been spotted there! Still a smashing success for Ashish and offers new hope for recovery of gharial populations worldwide

  14. Nepali EDGE Fellow Ashish Bashyal has made an incredible rediscovery of gharials in Bardia NP, where the species hasn't been seen in 30 years. He recorded over 100 hatchlings which is encouraging news for the survival of this Critically Endangered species
