Seeing comments from folks I respect this am to the effect that it’s not shocking that Trump’s loan co-signers were Russian oligarchs b/c we’ve known it. I come at this as a lawyer who did white collar financial fraud cases for 15 years. It’s one thing to “know” something. 1/3
It’s quite another to be able to walk into a court of law or, say, an impeachment trial, with admissible documentary evidence, with a witness to testify to its authenticity, that proves the president is compromised. The fact that it is reported to exist *is* stunning. 2/3
A single document to that effect *could* result in his imprisonment or impeachment. And I stand by the position that we *should* be shocked that such a document would *ever* exist for a president of the United States or *any* government official. I will never normalize it. 3/3

I completely agree and thanks for saying it so clearly. It is akin to an immune disease that wrecks the body for years without a concrete diagnosis. You have known it is the immune system but to finally have it pinpointed and exactly named is significant.
