You always remember your first car mine was a 3 speed Maverick Grabber , candy apple red with a black racing stripe . I loved that car.

A Maverick? Who made it?
-
Ford made it . It was a 1974.

Cool. I'm a volunteer "grandson" at a senior home and one thing I enjoy is them telling me stories about when they were young and what things were like then. It's fascinating. Mr. Frank is my favorite. He makes up crazy stuff to see if I'll fall for it and he gets me every time.
-
I never heard of a volunteer grandson what a great idea. When I was younger I loved going to my Great Aunts she told the best stories.
-
At my school, every junior and senior had to choose a community service project and that's the one I chose. I go about every two weeks and visit with them. As you say, I love the stories. Mr. Frank is a WWII vet and I could listen to him for hours.
-
I also like to talk to the younger generation . You and your generation have given me hope for the future.
-
I'm glad.

No need to be sorry - enjoy every minute of it. It's a great feeling, and you captured it beautifully.

I guess I get overexcited about things. I've never had much of anything except the basics of food, clothes, and shelter and a couple times I didn't have that. So lately, I feel like I'm living at Disney World all expenses paid. I can't stop smiling.

-
Sometimes coming from very little can be a type of blessing - it makes us appreciate everything so much more. I wish you didn't go through such difficult times, but love that things are going better in your life. Keep that smile.

-
Thanks!

So nice of you to share the good things in your life. I love seeing you appreciating everything, because it isn't material things I keep reading about being important, it's the thought that comes with. Your mom baking cookies was a great share. I hope you'll write about... 1/2

2/ Adventures of you and Liam now that you have wheels. I'm sure you will have some great stories. I'm not going to tell you to be careful
because I believe you are. Just be safe in your travels. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
-
For sure, driving changes things. I'm sure there will be inspiration and adventures but maybe not that much for a while. My foster parents are very good to me but they have strict rules on my use of the car. My driving time and where I can go are limited.
