Does anyone else find it strange that a parade with a standing Army was used to celebrate a war of independence which was fought and won by a people who were absolutely against the creation of a standing Army?
None of that legitimizes a full time standing Army, which is not authorized in the Constition. It should have been amended decades ago. Personally, I want the baddest military on planet earth with a sane policy of defense, not an insane policy of offense such as we have today.
