You need to know what Constitutional Originalism is, and you do not: https://constitutioncenter.org/interactive-constitution/white-pages/on-originalism-in-constitutional-interpretation …

But if course, YOU do, right? The guy who says the federal Bill of Rights does things that no SCOTUS judge ever supported until the progressive era, which is just a little late to be considered “original”. But good luck with that.

Alex, Dwayne is correct about the Bill of Rights. It is only applied to the federal government. The idea that the BoR was incorporated is a Progressive myth.

Unless you or anyone else here can point to which piece of Progressive philosophy this point of view correlates to, then please stop using the word Progressive, because you don't understand what it means.

Amendment 10 The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. It's not "progressive" to amend the Constitution.pic.twitter.com/2GZGdHd4nr

However, it is a Progressivists Utilitarian point of view to believe States have the Right to Democratically remove the Natural Right from individuals, to include their Natural & unalienable Right to defend Life, Liberty, & Property with arms. This is Stovall's argument.pic.twitter.com/Az4FNbCecR

The individual states still have their state constitutions which the states must follow. Most of which basically recognizes the rights as the federal BoR.

This ignorance of authority is premised on your belief that because you've read a few Documents & a few subjective opinions regarding those documents, that you actually understand them. It is clear you haven't put in the work to understand the philosophies of these ideals.

"Philosophies of these ideals"? Ideals don't have philosophies.

A philosophy is a reasoned position on a person's ideals. Your argument is semantical, and not accepted academically.

If anyone is in over his head, you are, Dwayne, and sincerely hope the voters see that, too. I want no state pretending to have authority to divest me of the natural rights protected by the Constitution and Amendments your state ratified when it joined the Union (twice).
