One day we’ll be forced to deal w/ the fact the Constition is dead & the power to rule over every aspect of the daily lives of more than 325 million citizens, spread across fifty separate States, is held by a small elite class of politicians we will never know & never influence.

As long as the elites continue to provide very basic necessities and claim that they need more time and more money to solve the problems they created, the reckoning will never come on a populist level. It's too easy to vote yourself free stuff if you've no skin in the game.
