When a partial government shutdown has zero impact on the lives of regular citizens, it makes you wonder why that part would ever be reopened. Whatever agency is included, give it back to the States and close it’s federal doors. Permanently.

Well, I'm not actually feeling it, but I really don't want to do without the ones in Department of Homeland Security like Border Patrol, US Coast Guard etc to be eliminated...

The States can absolutely manage the border. The U.S. Constition provides for a Navy, but it in no way requires 30 million of we Texans to have to wait for a few hundred non-Texans to decide for us how we will manage our border.
