“The moral question that we have to ask ourselves is, is there a moral case for taking the rightful property of one person and giving it to whom it does not belong? And in my many years of life I have not come up with a moral case for doing that.” ~ @WE_Williams

Federal government is charged with building and maintaining post roads. If a community needs a new or improved road for timely service. It is a stretch but not to much. We do need proper roads and sometimes that means purchasing property (at a fair price)

But that's not so. The federal government is not charged with maintaining roads, bridges, ports, ect. The very first infrastructure bill was veto'd by the father of the Constitution, James Madison, because the US Constitution gave Congress no such authority. Google Bonus Bill.
