@TeamYouTube Question: why do I need to hit the notification bell to be told when content creators I'm subscribed to are live or uploaded a new video? Why can't I just see who I'm subscribed to in my feed since I am obviously interested in their content?

@TeamYouTube I reiterate my question: why is the bell a necessary part of the subscription/content creator's functions when the subscribe button formerly covered that function completely?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
@TeamYouTube I was assuming you were busy answering other people's questions about@YouTube's functionality, but after not answering my question for almost 24 hours, I think you're avoiding it and hoping I'd forget.1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -

It provides more options! Someone might want to see all videos in their subs feed, but not get notified about every upload from every single subscription (especially if they have A LOT). The bell gives channel-level options: receive none, occasional, or all notifications.

No, it's unnecessary filtration and algorithm-based dilution. A lot of people like myself don't get notified of the content of those we follow until hours later, if at all. I'd rather have ALL of my feed show up and let me decide what I want to watch, because I SUBSCRIBED to them

The bell does nothing but screw with the system with how it's currently implemented, & here's another kicker: if I decide to turn off push notifications of the
@YouTube App on mobile because it eats data/floods my phone notifications, it turns off my notifications for EVERYTHING1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
That includes notifications when I'm logged into Youtube on my computer, which should be completely divorced from my phone, and yet even if I reset my notification settings I still don't get notifications from channels I follow regardless of what state the bell is in.

AND I cannot even turn on bell notifications on a number of channels I follow, no matter how many times I click on that bell, which means that regardless of how intentional this convoluted system is, parts of it outright DO NOT WORK for subscribers and creators alike.

With all of this said, I will ask for your feedback @TeamYouTube: what expectations do you have when you subscribe to or follow someone on a platform like Youtube? Wouldn't you like to have the availability to see all the content they create & choose for YOURSELF on what to see?
