PROTECT AUSTRALIA’S DUGONG AND TURTLE

@DugongTurtleAus

Australia’s cruel, needless hunting endangered sea turtle & dugong must stop. Amending dated Act to protect these species is not contrary to Native Title rights

    Native Title is NOT an entitlement to decimate endangered sea turtles and dugong in unlimited, unmonitored quantities When privileged to freely take unlimited amounts of abundant ocean and land species, there's NO justifying killing those endangered and vulnerable to extinction!

  2. The largest and leading threat facing Australia’s sea turtles and dugong (now endangered and vulnerable to ) is Indigenous Australia. Not plastic. Not pollution. Not industry. Not climate. Nationwide, unlimited, unmonitored, needless modern-day hunting is the threat.

    Poništi
  3. Expecting Indigenous Australia to voluntarily stop needless modern-day hunting of endangered sea turtles & dugong because it’s environmentally & morally right to stop is like expecting a kleptomaniac to stop Au Gov has power to protect these species, all it needs is the courage.

    Sea turtles and dugong, now endangered and vulnerable to extinction, belong to ALL Australians For future of these majestic, beleaguered species we must ALL protect them - no division What part of endangered and vulnerable to extinction does Australia not understand?

    When you have special privilege in Australia to freely take unlimited amounts of abundant ocean (and land) species, there is no justifying killing those endangered and vulnerable to extinction. Ceasing hunting of sea turtles and dugong does not extinguish a Native Title right.

  7. Trepidation around plight of these endangered species in Australian waters needs to stop. So does our needless modern-day hunting “It is a national disgrace. But it’s one that environmentalists, animal rights activists, the media and politicians are simply too gutless to tackle”

    The alarming truth for endangered sea turtles and dugong in Australian waters. Australia CANNOT continue nationwide, unlimited, unmonitored take of these species. Ban this needless modern-day assault, or give these beleaguered species a 50-year moratorium to recover!

  9. Sea turtles and dugong, now endangered and vulnerable to , don't deserve to be decimated just because modern-day Australians believe they’re entitled due to ancestry No bastardised aspect of any culture or tradition should take precedence over future of these species.

  10. Beggars belief that the only people monitoring the slaughter of sea turtles and dugong in Australia is us! Yes, that’s right folks, these species are endangered and vulnerable to extinction and the ONLY people speaking of it and documenting it are a handful of concerned citizens.

  11. Australian Govt leaves welfare and future of endangered sea turtles and dugong in the care of hunters (à la brain surgeons pictured) As a result, we have nationwide unlimited, unmonitored hunting of these endangered species - with ZERO accountability Disgraceful mismanagement!

    In typical trophy hunter fashion, coastal Indigenous Australians regularly brag about killing endangered sea turtle and dugong Every day they speed around in motorboats, needlessly knocking off these endangered species in unlimited, unmonitored numbers, taking extinction selfies

  13. Australia’s endangered sea turtles and dugong NEED same standards of protection to apply to ALL Australians Modern-day coastal Indigenous CAN live without killing endangered sea turtles and dugong. They are NOT entitled to decimate these species! This needs to stop!

  14. Coastal Indigenous Australians claim they respect and care for endangered sea turtles and dugong, but it's all bullshit Overwhelming traits displayed by those decimating these endangered species are greed, mockery, bravado, dominance and cruelty Protect these species, Australia

    Time to do something about Native Title Act, Endangered and protected species should not be slaughtered in Australian waters by anyone.

  16. Australia’s animal welfare NGOs are all loudly and proudly rattling tins, sharing photo ops, working for our vulnerable species (mostly furry, cuddly, cute ones), yet they are all mute and MIA on the plight of our endangered sea turtles and dugong. Weak as piss, the lot of them.

  17. Australians speak up against all forms of animal cruelty - “cruelty should NEVER be tolerated” Yet same standards don’t seem to apply to Australia’s ENDANGERED sea turtles and dugong Our tolerance of our cruel, needless modern-day assault on these species is a national disgrace
