This is proper thought. Talk of removing pockets from trousers etc is just absurd. Might balance the bat v ball better too. And it'll cut out the nefarious and overlooked practices too.

There's a lot to digest in Incidents aside, the national body has come down hard and sponsors are walking. I suppose it shows how Australians see cheating in sport. The remorse on their faces was telling. They'll need help to get through this, and should do too.

should we hold cricketeers to a higher standard? They're only athletes. We expect this sort of malarky from our politicians (who never let those expectations down).

This is Cricket's JFK moment. The ball is JFK, Smith is Lee Harvey Oswald, I am the car, the road is integrity- the grassy knoll is a grassy knoll, and the CIA? Correct- they are the cartoon duck that walks across the screen sometimes

The disconnect between Cricket Australia and the general public has never been better illustrated than that James Sutherland press conference.

Remarkably, there’s a good chance Cricket Australia’s off-field leadership is worse than it’s on-field leadership.

A weak response from a weak leader of Cricket Australia. He hasn't spoken to those involved and going through a "process". The public won't have this James, you'll be next.

It's hard to see any of this team or support group staying. No-one stood up at any point when this was mooted and said "Fellas, this isn't on. We don't cheat"? They're all complicit, surely?

Steve, it's not your decision. I for one don't want you leading our national team. You're a terrific batsman, but this is not on.
