Maya Millete’s disappearance has been a huge story in San Diego and now her husband is going to trial for her alleged murder. (Her body has not been found.) It’s kind of shocking that it hasn’t received as much attention as cases like Ana Walshe in MA.

A San Diego judge just ruled that Larry Millete will stand trial for murder. His wife, May "Maya" Millete, disappeared in January 2021 and her body has never been found. Millete was immediately arraigned and pleaded not guilty. Trial is set to begin Sept. 14.

Judge Stein: Ms. Chaudhry, in your submission you argue there should be a downward variance. I think a variance below 130 months will be appropriate. But I do not intend to sentence Ms. Shah to 36 months, either. So it will be sometime between the two.

In this letter, 's chancellor refers to Bryan Kohberger, the man charged with murder in the Idaho student killings, as a "former WSU PhD student."
A spokesperson would not answer my ?s about if WSU expelled him, saying they can't discuss student records.
