      2. "Thanks for the bottle of scotch! The liquor store gave us a free upgrade because they didn't have the bottle." So I thought, as a scotch drinker - cool, they gave him a bottle of @JohnnieWalkerUS Blue! Only to find out they gave him a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green...

      3. Johnnie Walker Green is still great - but it's 2 labels below Platinum, not an upgrade. If they were charging me for Platinum, I wanted to either get a refund from @Drizly or have the correct bottle sent. So I reached out to Drizly to explain the issue...

      4. Only to have them tell me "We took a look and the item that the store delivered to you was a higher price than the original order. The Green Label is listed as $99.99 in the store inventory." PSA: Green Label is not as good as Platinum! Doesn't matter what the store charges.

      5. As an 'apology' for the mixup, though, @Drizly offered me a $15 credit. Platinum label costs probably about $30 more than Green. So I was not impressed. I let them know that they were incorrect about the price difference, but all they did was offer to get the bottle returned..

      6. I even sent them screen shots from @johnniewalker_'s official website to show them that Platinum (renamed 18 year), but they did not acknowledge that they indeed sent a lesser bottle of scotch to my brother. @Drizly was EXTREMELY unhelpful.pic.twitter.com/ZEKrRRlJYj

      7. This made me think. Does @Drizly allow their partner shops to con their customers? Send lesser bottles, tell them it's an upgrade, when in fact the store is saving money and Drizly/the store still get their profits?

      8. A lot of people order bottles for other people. My brother didn't know which bottle was more expensive. Without me, the store and @Drizly would have made a profit they did not deserve.

      9. Regardless, I was able to get the bottle returned and the refund from @Drizly, after a lot of frustration, and I did end up actually calling a liquor store that DID have the right bottle, knew the price, and had it delivered to him.

      10. Bottom line, @Drizly was unhelpful, didn't listen to their customer even after I provided proof, and was okay with conning someone out of their money. I'm 100% not okay with that and doubt I'll ever use the service again, which is too bad, because it's a good model.

      Certainly sounds like a convenient “mistake” on their part. For every @JesseKnutsonNC5 there are likely 10 others that don’t catch this bait and switch and certainly don’t hold them accountable for it, which is money in both their pockets.
