After being raped she was had to sit in the Dell Seton emergency room waiting on a rape kit for 13 HOURS!! It wasn’t till a state official found out & made calls that one was there in 15 minutes. The addl trauma caused by Dell is unacceptable! #txlege

the lawlessness has to end. He had prior violent crimes as well as a long rap sheet. People around the state have to come to the Capitol to petition their government. They should be as safe as home. If Austin can’t do it the State needs to create a district.

Eventually, the State brought Caleb's abuser to justice, but sadly Caleb is still missing. Texas has not updated child pornography laws in 34 years. It is time we do so that we can better protect the most vulnerable in our society - our children.

I filed the bill in honor of Caleb Diehl from Nocona, who was reported missing on April 1, 2015. After his disappearance, an investigation uncovered that Caleb was abused by his part-time employer, who had prior allegations of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Today Caleb's Law, SB 129, was heard in Criminal Justice. SB 129 would upgrade TX's outdated child pornography laws to reflect current technologies & criminal trends, & ensure child predators can be charged with a 1st-degree felony without prior conviction. #txlege

187 yrs ago, after a 13-day fight, 200 brave Texans fell to Santa Anna's forces bringing an end to the Battle of the Alamo. Their bravery & courage inspired the Texan army to fight against the Mexican army, leading to a victory over Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto #txlege
