My monthly post reminding everyone (including myself) that this is still coming this year; just putting the finishing touches to it!
Still not finalised how I’ll be printing these or how anyone can get a hold of them!
Up now on the blog: @Space_turnip takes a look at a cool new #Dreamcast mini-magazine from @Retro_Fusion, which includes input from writers within the scene, such as @RetroFaith1 and @marc_jowett. https://thedreamcastjunkyard.co.uk/2023/03/lets-take-look-at-fusion-dc-magazine.html…
A few of the alternative releases of Japanese fighting games (SNK Best Buy versions and a couple of Capcoms ‘for matching service’ releases)
Better artwork on most of these I think?
Brazilian Dreamcast releases; whilst nowhere near as interesting as Brazilian releases on earlier Sega consoles, I’m still really pleased I managed to pick these up a while ago!
The first demo included on Indie Sampler #2 has been revealed!
You’ll be able to play a slice of @rkilgariff’s HarleQuest in time for the game’s Kickstarter going live in April
Stay tuned for more updates!
8 years since the ‘ultimate collectors guide’ came out - hopefully only a few months until the physical A to Z. My ultimate collectors guide is a bit battered now it has to be said!
I missed out on this years ago, and never found one for sale at just the right price, but happy to now add this to the dc collection.
Sturmwind is still in my top 5 Dreamcast indies, although the competition is getting better and better!
A short video of my DC / games room. I had fully expected to post more stuff this year but… well, work is getting in the way. Still, very happy to have this sanctuary to escape too.
Note - the only sound in this video is the creaking of floorboards and or my aged bones.
I’m many years late, but I’ve finally set up the ability to take screenshots, videos and indeed stream, my Dreamcast games.
No effect on the guide, but it does mean I’ll probably end up posting a great deal of random screenshots on here - sorry in advance!
(And before anyone says, yeah I know Andro Dunos and it’s sequel will be out very soon. If they’re in my hands before release, I’ve got the space to just about fit them in! Will be up to 526 pages if so)
This year is the year that my DC collecting, book writing saga is ending. Editing on the guide is underway, I’m inching towards deciding how it’s going to be released, and it’s looking far better than I thought it would. More news soon!
Final version of the guide, now fully up to date with all new indie releases, is done. It’s taken about 10 years all told by this point.. now just to complete the final corrections and see what to do with the physical version! (Pic as always to draw some attention!)
Finally got the guide finished. Last of the 704 reviews done, upcoming games all up to date. Just the last round of error checking and corrections to do now and then that’s done!
Going through some of the random bits of the collection. Sort of forgot I had these - some of the Japanese trial discs and demo discs. Some cool ones here.
Cheers to everyone who offered to help out proof reading the guide, apologies for long delay in responding!
I’ve got it sorted now but as a cheers to everyone who offered, I’ll send over a sneak peek pdf when the guide is done.

If anyone is interested, I am looking at bringing someone else on board to assist in proof reading the guide in their spare time. Free guide in the offering for someone who does!
Monthly update post - A to Z of Dreamcast games now on course for a January/February release after more delays than I care to remember!
House move fully done, games room done and new pc now set up, work on the guide now resumes!
And then finally, I’ve had to put the e posters on the ceiling to have any chance of seeing them! I quite like how they look to be fair.
Apologies for the picture spam, just very happy I can finally spend some time relaxing in the room now!
