The worship of artists is such an incredibly big problem for everyone involved ;_; either the artist is a decent person who has to be cautious about every relationship out of fear of being used for art, or they’re a shitty person and get worshipped anyway. it’s the worst
The discussion about things that put you off from RP reminded me that a.) I should probably block someone just in case they ever comment on my stuff again ew, and b.) don't conflate incredible art with an incredible person. There are a lot of demons behind those beautiful lines

Word. Because of what I went through with such a person for five horrifying years, I am now beyond terrified of big RP communities and to this day, I still hear about incidents involving abusive artists and their fans defending them when their victims try to get away.
