humans super weren't ready for a global audience on an individual scale. we're so addicted to engagement that we don't even allow our own thoughts privacy. the amount of ratio'd posts that would have been better off in a journal but the concept of no audience is unfathomable lmao

honestly i think about this so much re: twitter.
I'm guilty of it, too (thankfully no ratios tho), especially with my art. I can't just draw something no one will see, it has to be For An Audience. Really trying to beat that outta myself.

100% same! i usually can't imagine drawing something if i don't share it somewhere, which is? such an unhealthy thing? but it's also so hard to not think that way at this point
