i 100% believe that people in the next century will look back at people right now popping melatonin every night (and especially giving it to their kids) the same way we look at people in 1890 putting cocaine in their cough medicine. you mark my words that shit ain't right.

Actually there are some very positive things going on with melatonin and brain research for the elderly. http://dr-g.co.il/articles/sleep/MelatonininAlzheimer.pdf … Obviously there is a lot of work to still be done, and it isn't fully conclusive yet but the research is promising.
Any compound or hormone can have its promising uses for specific treatments; this post is about people buying it OTC to take for nightly sleep.
