    "Cloud" is such a clever marketing term. Your experience tells you real physical clouds never go down. The better reality-reflecting term would be "zeppelins". That also gives you the handy visual cues page for, say, AWS outages:

    Dieses AWS Aurora skaliert gar nicht mal so gut. Erst ist irgendein interner Storage-Prozess geplatzt (und hat die postgres neu gestartet), und jetzt machen wir uns ernsthaft Sorgen, wie lange wir wohl brauchen, um die 32TB Grenze zu sprengen. -.-

    Heute war mein Rechner schon aus. Also habe ich ein Windows 10 improvisiert ("Was sehen Sie?" - "Was soll ich denn sehen?" - "Ja, das ist hier.") Zuletzt habe ich ihm dann das auto-generierte UltraViewer Passswort buchstabiert: "lol-nope" (ich musste halt los).

    Boah, wie schlecht kann man seine Scamming-Operation im Griff haben. Da hat wohl jemand das "Glaubt unsere Story"-Flag gesetzt, und "... verarscht uns am laufenden Meter" gibt's in der Maske nicht. Gut, dann habe ich jetzt halt häufiger Spaß.

    Two learnings from this weekend: 1. Postgres version of AWS RDS has a bug where pg_stat_activity becomes unavailable. 2. SELECT FOR UPDATE on a row referenced by a foreign key will block referring INSERTS (which actually makes perfect sense).
