Ajanta Caves, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India.
These Buddhist rock-cut caves are believed to have been constructed around 200 BC and were used as retreat places for Buddhist monks during monsoon season. Caves were abandoned after 7th Century AD when Buddhism declined in India.

A colossal bull's head from Persepolis during reign of Xerxes (486-465 BC).
Head is 2m high and weighs 10 tons. Persepolis was founded as a capitol city by Achaemenid dynasty, which unified Persian empire in 519 BC.

Unfinished obelisk in 3500 year old granite quarry in Aswan, Egypt.
This obelisk, which is 25m long today, if it had been finished by ancient Egyptians, would be almost 42m high and more than 1160 tons in weight. In other words, it would be the greatest of all.
