NUCLEAR WASTE IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS! Unshielded & fresh out of the reactor exposure for seconds would result in certain death. But somehow there has not been a single documented death from storing civilian nuclear waste. Ever. Here's what you need to know: a 🧵

Going to be tricky to subsidize a way through this... Orders down 46%, Cost up 25%...

Interesting slide from Siemens Gamesa, the 2nd world's largest manufacturer of wind turbines. It reports that onshore turbine orders dropped 46.3% y-on-y in the last quarter. And the cost of those turbines (€ per MWh) went up 25% y-on-y | #EnergyCrisis #Windturbines

This infographic is supposed to make the footprint of fossil fuels look huge I have the opposite reaction. Their energy density means we power all of our modern global extravagance on just this Imagine the size of the Uranium cube if nuclear was harnessed at its full potential

This is the epitome of the unbearable shallowness of climate wokeism.

We are increasingly directing more energy and resources towards delivering the energy and resources the rest of society demands. In this week's Frankly I give a birds eye overview of how a 'Mordor Economy' might evolve and what it implies:

Whats the deal with low dose radiation? unearths the story.

We went 2 kms underground to world's deepest clean room @SNOLAB to see one of world's only ultra-low-radiation environments where they're putting the Linear No Threshold model of #radiation to the test. Results are fascinating. Check out the video: youtu.be/2DSya8cAwzk

Yes,there is something very wrong with your picture. This is the picture of Ontario’s spent nuclear fuel storage. Safe, secure with costs included in the contracted price! Can the same be said for unregulated ‘renewables’ like wind turbines, solar panels and storage batteries?

Nuclear energy is *NOT* a #climate solution - especially when Ontario's plans involve the unsafe storage of radioactive waste along #LakeOntario's shoreline. #onpoli #climateemergency #climatenews Concerned? You should be. Take action HERE: cleanairalliance.org/storage/

Quite an interesting experience. A call in show on nuclear is bound to bring in highly motivated & opinionated voices. The problem is when there are just too many falsehoods to adequately fact check. Hats off to for giving it their best. Thanks 4 the invite

Promotes outlier antinuclear fundamentalist’s misinformation while ignoring IPCC & UN economic committee of Europe lifecycle analyses which show Nuclear lifecycle emissions at 5-11gCO2/kwh… lower than both wind and solar.

Nuclear & storage are feasible because nuclear reduces storage requirements to a diurnal cycle rather than the week long/seasonal requirements for wind & solar. Nuclear can also charge storage reliably whereas wind & solar cant be counted on to recharge after storage depletion.

Mining up all the metals on the planet competes directly with farming. There is not enough diesel fuel. There’s no electric mining, either. Wind-solar-batteries will starve us out via diesel inflation.

Replying to @JustStop_Oil
It takes about 15 litres of diesel fuel to plant and harvest an acre of wheat. Nobody makes battery electric farm equipment to replace fossil fueled equipment. Friendly reminder that we need oil to produce food and don’t have a replacement.

There’s no panacea.

Ok, lets talk about EVs. How much mining is required to make an EV battery? Lithium brines typically contain less than 0.1% lithium, so that entails some 25,000 pounds of brines to get the 25 pounds of pure lithium needed to fabricate a single battery. #GreenEnergy 🧵

Proponents of renewable energy continue to claim that wind and solar are the cheapest forms of energy available. Yet, they can't produce a single real-world example of dropping energy costs following increased wind and solar added to the grid. Not a single one.

Gravelines units 1-6 in France have a capacity of 5460 MW and made 31.6 TWh of zero-carbon 24/7 clean-air electricity in 2017 on an absolutely miniscule land footprint. That could power 3.2 million average households. Serialized large reactors are almost unfathomable.
