US "elites" never cared about China. They just wanted to profit from cheap Chinese labor, and gain full access to the PRC market to enrich themselves even further. US "elites" don't even care about their own people. Why would they care about people halfway around the world?
On social media, many young Chinese talked about how they used to yearn for the US when they were studying or traveling in US, but now they are very disappointed and dissatisfied when they know American elites are extremely anti-China. More and more young patriots are awakening.
