    Or because they show up at a meeting...or because they are a person of color, doesn't mean that they aren't Prejudice or Racist. Their is a correlation between how Black folks were treated in the country in the past (& in many ways today) & how our Latino's are being treated.

    I love Cville&Albemarle, but the fact still remains...we live in a community that is still rooted in both covert and overt White Supremacy. Don't get it twisted...just because someone has "Black or Latino" friends, or because they donate to a cause or organization, -->

    People literally have received their land by stealing it from Black folks, their families got wealthy off of the backs of people of color, and many of them have family members who migrated to America from Europe...but still think that "illegals" are ruining our community...

    than doing what is right and speaking up and supporting our community members who are vulnerable. It's amazing...and sad...A lot of elected officials and people appointed are scared to create change...especially if it's going to make people upset. I just shake my head...

    People are much more concerned with "potentially losing" Federally funding from ya'll President, scared of making people "who have lived in Charlottesville their entire lives and don't want anything to change" upset (most of whom are White) -->

    The stories that we have here in our own backyard about ICE targeting people of color, literally destroying communities and families, and preying on people, is beyond heartbreaking and quite frankly, sick and demented.
