    Wowzer, we counted over 105k eggs through the project. Adults should be identified by the end of the week. That's LOTS of eggs on 1700 egg papers (mean of 65 eggs/paper) and 4115 eggs on 1 paper data is in your email :)

    All the cards, infographics, and tick collection kits went home w/ great people!!! Only a few posters and mints left on the table.The ticks will be collected and we will learn soo much more with the help from these producers. Thanks!

    January8 Becky-memory update: (1) normal distribution of adult emergence (some schools have 0 adults & others have a LOT) & (2) all adults identified thus far are Asian tiger mosquitoes. But lots to hatch and adults to identify! Last hatch week is Jan27

    Luckily my friend heard the conversation and told me to call UT back and explain my behavior and the situation. "If they don't understand, dont take the job." Thankfully, they understood bc I know I was hard/strange/weird on that call.

    Previous yrs weren't bad/great, but they had many mixed moments. Ex. When UT called to offer my job I was waiting for a Dr to call & tell me my mom had stage4 cancer. That's a mixed-moment day. In these I hope for lots of great moments & to give/get help w/hard ones

    We often see only the finished product of other people's work - manuscripts, presentations, books, proposals. Remember that behind that polished version lies many rough drafts and a long process of refining. Nobody's first draft is perfect, and yours doesn't have to be either.
