single payer healthcare is the only solution #MedicareForAll or bust
Am I hopeful we will have a vaccine in the coming months? Yes. Do I think this will get us back to pre-Covid reality? No. Vaccines take a long time to get to people, often have stumbles in rollout, and don’t protect perfectly. Very important, but won’t end Covid.

but for myself, if I get a vaccine and get yearly shots if needed, can I be reasonably sure that I won't get a serious case of covid?

So what will end Covid? Nothing?

“ending” Covid was never the goal bc of how this virus works. We want to get it under control the way we have the flu and the common cold under control. The only disease we have ever really wiped out was measles

It scares me that people are taking this as a silver bullet. Even if we DO have a working vaccine in a month, we won't know how long immunity will last for a while. I hope people don't get careless and forget about other mitigation methods as well.
