Great point. However, shouldn't this be adjusted to number of countries and by timeline?

Why? He said "the world". I may be wrong but I think that encompasses all of the countries in it (on it?) which is probably the point of his tweet.

Genuinely curious about the interpretation here; it looks like doubling time is slowing. 1 to 2 mil: 12 days 2 to 4 mil: 25 days 4 to 8 mil: 37 days Isn't doubling time typically the acceleration metric?
-
It’s late and I might miss something but: In general, acceleration is when the rate of something increases with time. That seems to be happening here. However, it doesn’t accelerate so fast that the doubling time is constant or increasing, i.e. acc. is slower than exponential.

Even more reason to educate yourself and add this to the mix. We're still looking for leaders to address this topic here in the USA, but the UK government is taking it seriously.https://www.bmj.com/content/369/bmj.m2475 …

So too, apparently, is recklessness, hubris, and selfishness.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

1 to 2 - 12 days doubling time 2 to 4 - 25 days doubling 4 to 8 37 days doubling So no it's not accelerating. And that doesn't account for increases in testing.

Trump has defunded some testing sites.
