    I agree the students' perspective is of great value! I also recommend looking at the student handbook. Is it indicative of a true learner-centered environment or does it reek of rigidity with heavy policing and punitive tone?

    How isolated the department is from fellow departments within the institution...what does collaboration look like, access to innovation across disciplines/studies, lab advancements present or interest in growth (HFPS, etc.), community and academic partnerships, scholarship...
