Impressive initiative but from the looks the demography lacks diversity. Very few Africans afford to do internships in the expensive Geneva. Organizations such as UN bodies must provide specific support for them
I really enjoyed my meeting today with our @WHO interns - they will be key in shaping the future of #GlobalHealth. The WHO has a budget of over $4 billion. It seems absurd that you would need to find "innovative financing mechanisms" in order to fund this programme. Unpaid internships entrench inequality and punish young professionals from disadvantaged backgrounds
