Universal Health Coverage is an ethical issue. Do we want our fellow citizens to die just because they are poor? The answer is NO. No one should get sick and die because they can’t afford the care or medicines they need.

Universal health coverage is my top priority, and is central to WHO’s mandate. #HealthForAll is a smart investment. The road to UHC will be different for different countries, but we can get there.
