What about the U.S. policy of requiring a negative test from the day before? This will inevitably negatively impact poorer countries since its much more likely you would have difficulty getting a same day test. Hell, that's hard to get even in the U.S.!

There has been no disrespect, you misunderstand what is going on. It's a bit inconvenient to delay globetrotting holiday fun times for a few weeks, but vaccine just opened for age 5->12 here a week ago, & we are slowing the spread to save lives, while we vaccinate millions now.
